哈瓦那附近的乔治城，是一座具有浓郁欧洲风格的城市。当年哥伦布发现此珊瑚群岛时，命名此岛为大开曼岛（Grand Cayman）。现已成为纽约、伦敦、东京、香港之后的世界第五大金融中心。　　这个英国直辖殖民地包括3个岛，这个岛最大。岛气候宜人，景色秀丽，海水如镜。珊瑚礁、美仑美奂的海底和海滩很迷人，能听到的唯一声音就是醉人的海风。开曼盛产加勒比海海龟，又名“海龟岛”。
