　　一直以为，HIM就是这个乐队的名字，后来才知道，原来HIM是HIS INFERNAL MAJESTY的缩写，他的地狱之主.
　　HIM是芬兰歌特乐团。主唱Ville Hermanni Valo，一个习惯自嘲的硬摇滚先锋，又是个痛苦欲绝的诗人。在台上时，他一手拿着瓶红酒一手叼着支烟，好象就是以前Jim Morrison的翻版，只不过Valo的嗓子更加低沉而富有情感，他会不断引起你的注意。Valo的母亲是匈牙利籍移民，因此这也难怪Valo的外表阴暗，就好象体内流着吸血鬼Dracula的血液一样。HIM便是His Infernal Majesty的缩写。
　　灵魂主唱Valo，一双深邃的眼睛充满了绝望的神情，如果不是那阴郁低沉的磁性嗓音，很难让我相信眼前的鬼魅竟然来自男人，“OH~BABY, how beautiful you are ~”。 “oh~ girl, we are the same, we are young and lost and so afraid”金属的旋律+黑暗凝重的男声，真的是黑暗乐坛的又一朵奇葩。
　　他们的音乐中充满了低沉的旋律和神秘的爱情故事，乐队的灵魂人物是主唱Ville Hermani Vallo，他本人自称受Kiss乐队的影响颇深，他们甚至被称为“歌特中的Bon Jovi”了
