　　对于“爱情坟墓说”，大家往往莫衷一是；但对于婚后最初那段时光，很少有人否认它的甜蜜。单词honeymoon（蜂蜜+月）就是明证，很形象地形容了新婚感觉如蜂蜜般甘甜醇美……

　　有一种说法认为，“honeymoon”源于巴比伦的民情风俗。

　　这个古老的国家一直保留着这样一个传统，在女儿出嫁的第一个月，女孩的父亲每天都会让女婿喝mead（蜂蜜酒），以此希望女儿的婚姻永远幸福甜蜜。

　　不过，词源学家否认了这种说法。正统词源学认为，honeymoon并非指婚后一个月。虽然honey喻指新婚的甜蜜，但moon指代的是“月亮的盈亏”，这种苦涩的暗示旨在告诫人们：婚姻固然幸福甜美，但这种甜蜜就像月亮的盈亏只是暂时的，婚姻更多的意味着双方要一起肩负生活的重担，一起承受人生的酸甜苦辣，一起经历生活的风风雨雨。
